Alyssa's ISR Swimming Class

Alyssa was able to pass her ISR Swim class this week with her winter clothes on. We hope that she will never have to use these skills but it gives us a little peace of mind knowing that she has them.

She loves the water and her instructor, Caroline, said that she is very comfortable in the water and relaxed. You can see this is the videos below how she just floats even when she is face down in the water. The first week she was upset and cried during the class but after about 4 days, she was laughing and playing around and enjoying them. It took her about 6 weeks (not counting the week she had the bad infection or the week of vacation) to complete the course.

I would recommend ISR (Infant Swimming Resources) to everyone. You can go to their web site http://www.infantswim.com/ to get more information. Alyssa and Daddy liked to get to class early to see the infants going through the course. There were two 8 month old twins that were ahead of us every morning. In fact, our first week there was a 6 month old that was testing out with all her winter clothes on.

In the video above she does not want to do the back flip into the water but in the next video below she will.

Congratulations Alyssa! We are very proud of you!

Fun Filled Week!

Well, we got home Sunday from our trip to Evansville, Indiana. We had so much fun!! I was in a womens bowling tourament with my Mom and some friends and I am just so happy they invited Anthony and I. We had a great time and we got to spend alot of quality time together as well as with my Mom and Sean. Alyssa stayed with Nanny and Poppy (Anthony's parents) and she had a great time! She told me all about it yesterday after school and it was too cute! Thank you so much Nanny and Poppy for keeping Alyssa for us!!

This week is a busy one! We got our prints for the house yesterday! YAY!! So I need to get a set out to Dad to start putting things in motion. We have alot to do yet before we start building but hopefully we are moving in the right direction a little faster now with the prints in hand.

Sunday was Riley's birthday so we are going to dinner tonight for his birthday since we were out of town, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY RILEY!!! Riley also has orientation at Martin Methodist today! Can't believe it is almost time for Riley to go to college! About a month and then he'll be a bowling machine - we can't wait to go watch his collegiate tournaments!

AJ is closing on his house Thursday and I am so excited and happy for him!!! We will probably be over there a bunch after Thursday helping him move in and get everything set up. I am going with AJ to closing and am so happy!!

My 10 year reunion is this Saturday and I am really excited about that! I am looking forward to it and think it will be a blast!

Nana closes on her house next Monday and then she will be coming down the weekend of Aug. 8. Mom is going to NH to drive her back down. We can't wait for Nana to be back!

We hope everyone is doing well and we miss everyone!!

Late

I know I am late - but better late than never!! I have added beach pics from our annual 4th of July trip to Ft. Morgan beach. We had such a great time spending time with the family!! I can't wait until next year - wish we were still at the beach. Alyssa earned a new nickname from Addy Belle - it is YaYa and it is too cute. We were all calling Alyssa YaYa and she loved it. She would just walk around saying YaYa. Alyssa and Addy were too cute playing together and they really enjoyed spending time with everyone! Alyssa has been asking about everyone since we left. She asks to go to the beach and when I am about to say we can't, she says, "Beach is too far away??". She is growing up so fast and is just so smart!
We have a lot planned in the next few weeks. We are going to Evansville, Indiana this weekend with my Mom and Sean for a bowling tournament I am in. The weekend after that is my 10 year high school reunion. Then the 2nd weekend in August we are making a trip to Conyers to visit Tracy, Jeremy and Addy! I am so excited and can't wait!!

In other news, AJ is buying a house! He is closing July 25th and we are all just so happy and proud of him! He has really come a long way in a year and it brings tears to my eyes and just fills my heart with such happiness!
Nana is moving back to AL in August. She bought a house here and is closing July 17th!! We are all so happy that we will have Nana back! We have missed her so much since she took a "trip" to NH for a while :)

We are still slowly moving along with the house. We are waiting for the prints to be finished so we can start clearing and everything......slow process but still moving along.

I hope everyone is doing good!! To all those in NH and other places away from here - we miss all of you!

Love you!!

Happy Monday!

We had an awesome weekend!!! Nana got here Friday and we cooked dinner for her and the rest of my family. Saturday Alyssa and I went to Plamor to watch Daddy, Uncle AJ and Uncle Riley bowl in a tournament. Anthony missed making the top 5 cut by 2 points (pins)! He did really good though. I was proud!
Later Saturday afternoon our neighborhood had a cook out with a moonbounce and face painting for the kids. We had a great time and Alyssa was pooped after playing in the moonbounce for 2 hours! :)
Sunday I had some mommy time and went shopping at Bridge Street. It was a great peaceful time and I bought some cute things too :) We went to Mom's later in the afternoon for dinner with Nana and the fam. We are so happy to have Nana here......hoping she'll stay! :)
Tonight is Bob Jones Award Ceremony where Riley will get presented in front of everyone with his scholarships. I am so proud of him!! So we will be going to that and then tomorrow night is Graduation! Congrats Riley! We are so proud!!
I spent some time last night adding pics here so I am quite proud of myself. Hope you enjoy!
I hope everyone is doing great and hope you have a great week!
