Colsa Xmas Party

Saturday we took Alyssa to Nanny's work to their Kids Christmas event. They had all kinds of neat stuff there for the kids to do and Santa Clause was there :) Alyssa was very shy and grumpy at first but quickly came out of her shell and had a great time! Alyssa and I made a gingerbread man necklace, Ornaments for the Christmas tree and we went and talked to Santa. Alyssa refused to sit in his lap or to take a picture with him, but did go to talk to him with Mommy's help to tell him what she wanted for Christmas. Alyssa wants a "girl doggy" for Christmas??? We told her Syndey is her girl doggy but she insists that Syndey is a boy :) Daddy says we will not be getting another doggy. After all the fun, we ate lunch (pizza) - but Alyssa's lunch consisted of peanuts that Nanny had and lots of cookies. We had a great time - thanks Nanny!! Happy Birthday!

Alyssa turned 3 yesterday!!! Happy Birthday Alyssa :) She has had a few days of birthday celebrating and has had a wonderful time. Saturday we had her birthday party at Jump Zone with some friends from her class, our neighbors and family. After the kids jumped, we had pizza and cake (Dora of course) and then she opened gifts. Thank you everyone for coming and the wonderful gifts Alyssa got. She is very blessed!!
Sunday we played with new toys and Mommy and Alyssa made cupcakes together for her school birthday party. Later that night we decorated the Christmas tree and Alyssa loved putting on the ornaments.
Monday Alyssa had a birthday party at school and then came home to open more presents from Mommy and Daddy :) I had to let her open gifts on her actual birthday :) After she finished opening gifts, her and Daddy went to the movies and saw Bolt. She had a wonderful day and that made me so happy.
I cannot believe Alyssa is 3 already - my baby girl is growing up.........but it was so fun this year with her birthday because she understood everything going on and was genuinely excited and happy! It was a small peek at what Christmas and Santa Clause presents will be like and I cannot wait!!
I have lots of pics from this weekend - I just need to offload them and then I will add them here. Just wanted to give everyone an update.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving!! We spent the earlier part of the day at Maw Maw and Paw Paw Isbell's with everyone. Alyssa had a great time playing with Addy and it was nice to see everyone. While we were eating.........you will see in the pics below Alyssa and Addy went on an adventure in Maw Maw's room and found her lipstick! They both came out and had bright red lipstick on their faces. It was actually close to their mouths so they did try to get it on right :) It was so cute when they reappreared with their pretty faces......Addy tried to wipe it off real quick when Tracy flew out of her chair to see what they had gotten into. It was too cute. Alyssa just stood there and smiled :)
After the Isbell's we went to my Nana's house to eat some more and spend time with my family. We only had a little time with Riley because he had to leave for a bowling tournament with the college in Indiana but it was great to spend time with the fam for the afternoon :)
Thanks to everyone who provided meals and great company for us. We had a great day. We love you!! AJ, Mom, Me and Riley

Girls Weekend

I had an awesome weekend with the girls this weekend! It was the first time I can remember all of us went away for the weekend, just for the mommy's :) We had such a good time in Atlanta and all the kids stayed with the Dads from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. Thank you Dads :) We laughed just about the entire weekend non stop and had an awesome time catching up and just being girls.
While I missed my little girl.......I had an awesome time and couldn't have pictured a better weekend with all the girls. Thank you ladies for such a wonderful time and I can't wait to do it again!!

Grammy, Mommy and Alyssa went Trick or Treating tonight. We had a good time and Alyssa was so cute!!! She did great saying Trick or Treat and Thank You!! Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween everyone!! We took Alyssa tonight to pick out a pumpkin.........she picked out a small pumpkin that had a painted face on it for hers. Daddy picked out the bigger pumpkin to carve.
We let Alyssa draw the face on it......then we all shared in cleaning (Daddy did most of it because Alyssa thought it was yucky - and so does Mommy) :) and Mommy made pumpkin seeds while Daddy carved the face out. Update - Doctor

I went and saw the Gastro Doc today. I have an appt for a lovely "procedure" on Dec 3 at 7am. I will be put to sleep thank God!! So I get to be a little loopy that day and hopefully won't remember anything :)
He has a feeling I have some form of colitis and is sure this will show him I either do or do not have it. If I don't we'll talk about it after the procedure, and if I do he will let me know what type and how to care for it. There are so many forms of colitis and he doesn't want to go through all types and treatment now until we know what type I have.
He was quite concerned mainly with my weight loss and all of my symptoms including that point to colitis. He was a little upset with my regular Doc that he waited so long to send me with the constant weight loss and that he made me go dairy free for 5 weeks, when he really knew sooner that wasn't the issue - but what's done is done and I think I am in great care now. He was very nice, quick to the point (which I like) and feels he can help me solve my problem. Woohoo!!
So until my procedure I'll try and manage the issues with diet all while trying not to lose much more weight.
Just wanted to let everyone know. Things will be quiet with this until December.

Trunk or Treat

Tonight we took Alyssa to Trunk or Treat at Nanny and Poppy's Church. Alyssa had a really good time and got lots of candy.....she wouldn't say Trick or Treat or Thank You but she was sooooo cute. Alyssa is a witch this year but won't wear the hat......she actually calls herself a witch princess when we put her costume on :)
Thank you Nanny and Poppy for inviting us, we all had a great time :)
